1. Omar Faruque is my son. He was born on 10 October, 1993 AD. All of members of our family are supporters, workers of Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Dal (B.N.P), the largest political party of Bangladesh. My son Omar Faruque was 04 No Ward Unit General Secretary of Sonapur of Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Chatradal, Associate body of Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Dal (B.N.P). After joining of my son Omar Faruque in Chatradal ruling Awami League’s sister body Bangladesh Chatra League being failed to take him into their party from July, 2010 AD to December 2010 AD several times cadres threatened Faruque, showing fear, at one stage tortured physically, police harassment, after all gave death threat. In this regard, as I came at Sonaimuri Thana and sheltered to police but they showing fear of filing me in another case spelled me.

2. As my son Omar Faruque on 10 January, 2012 demonstrated a procession convened by Chatradal against Awami misrule, cadres left him into critical injury. On 10 October 2012 from Chatradal an assembly was organized, from there police arresting 09 party workers including Faruque taking at Thana tortured with cruelty. On 21 February 2013 my son Omar Faruque led Chatradal workers and leaders centering International Mother Language Day went Shahid Minar to pay homage, in that time Awami cadres with Pistol, Knife, Hokistics etc. attacked, 10/15 Chatradal workers and leaders received injury. Critically injured Omar Faruque was admitted to hospital.

3. As I and my family members clearly realized that, life of my son Omar Faruque is not secured anywhere of Bangladesh, can be victimized disappearance and killing anytime. We advised him to leave the country rapidly. Faruque at first sheltered his friend’s house on 05 April 2013 AD left Dhaka for US. After his departure from home, ruling Awami cadres are searching him. Cadres declared that they will kill him if found anywhere.

His home village and my village is situated in same place. He was General Secretary of 04 No Ward Unit of Sonapur Union Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Chatradal. My friend due to being victimized of different types of oppression, fear, threats by ruling party cadres was forced to come Dhaka leaving local area for saving his life.

2. On 05 March, 2013 AD my friend Omar Faruque came in my house in Dhaka and informed that, to stay in Bangladesh for his like suicide. That’s why he planned to leave the country. He expressed will to stay my house until leaving country. I gave him opportunity to stay at my house with satisfaction. From my house he on 05 April, 2013 left the country.

3. I heard from the father of Omar Faruque that, despite leaving country several times for holding Faruque Awami cadres attacked his village house. So, I believe the matter of leaving country of Omar Faruque was well-timed decision. He would victim of disappearance and killing if stay in home.

1. Beside Shahid Minar adjacent Sonapur Bazar, my tea stall is situated. On 21/02/2013 AD at morning eight I opened the shop. In the same time hearing noise coming near saw 7/8 Chatra league were beating severely Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Chatradal 04 No Ward Unit and Meripara village resident Nur Nabi and Kulsum Begum’s son Mr. Omar Faruque. At one stage Omar Faruque fell down on street and lost sense. I and Md. Monir Hossain took injured and senseless Omar Faruque to local Bajra General Hospital emergency department. After reaching hospital, in association of on duty doctor’s efforts he gets back sense. Later he was admitted at the hospital. Mr. Omar Faruque was admitted for 7 days at the hospital. I met him at the hospital next two days with fruits. I heard later due to doing politics Omar Faruque was attacked by cadres. Facing oppression and threats of Awami League, Omar Faruque left the country. I think if he returns home, he will be killed in the hand of Awami League cadres.

1. I was worker, Sonapur Union Unit, Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Chatradal, student organization of Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Dal (B.N.P). Because of gradual torture and threat from ruling party cadres stopping studding and leaving political party through operating “Satota Fisheries” named a fish producing firm is leading life.

2. I remember, as I was worker of Jatiotabadi Chatra Dal, in that time Mr. Omar Faruque (Date of Birth: 10/10/1993 AD) son of Nur Nabi and Kulsum Begum, resident of Meripara village, was General Secretary of Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Chatradal, 04 Ward Unii of Sonapur Union. On 21 February, 2013 AD at the morning centering International Mother Language Day we around 120 party workers-leaders went at Shahid Minar to keep flower. At morning 8 suddenly 15/20 Awami League cadres along with Pistol, Knife, Hokistics attacked on us. We tried to flee in different ways. But about 10/15 workers-leaders including Omar Faruque became victim of beating by cadres. The cadres beating him fell down on land. He became senseless. Local tea stall shopkeeper Md. Nurul Huda along with we lifting injured and senseless Omar Faruque on a Riksha Van took to local Bajra General Hospital’s emergency department. After some time taking there he gets back sense. After getting sense he informed much more pain in head and chest, doctors without delay made admit him at the hospital. After 7 days treatment and different types of test being cured he returned home from the hospital. I several times went the hospital to see him. Local workers-leaders also went to see him. I know after returning in home from hospital in his family suggestion he at first went Dhaka and from there went United States. I think he left the country in suitable time. Otherwise he would have been killed brutally by present government’s cadres group and their tamed law enforcing agency.

1. I was general member of Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Chatradal, 4 No Ward Unit, Sonapur Union, Sonaimuri Upazila, Noakhali district. In that time Omar Faruque was our Unit’s General Secretary. His village is Meripara of this Ward.

2. I can remember that on 10 October, 2012 AD at the Sonapur School ground Mr. Omar Faruque led 50/60 workers-leaders get together at worker assembly. During running worker assembly Sonaimuri Thana police enclosing us holding 09 workers-leaders brought at Thana. Police beat us severely at Thana custody. Due to beating, our leader Omar Faruque could not stand. Police had much angry on Mr. Faruque. After staying around 10 hours at Thana, lawyers appointed by our senior leaders freed us from Thana custody. We each have to give bond to police during leaving Thana. After departure Thana, severely injured Mr. Omar Faruque was took on Riksha to Dr. Rashida Begum’s chamber. The doctor after finishing first aid prescribed to stay in rest for full 10 days along with prescription.

3. Mr. Omar Faruque due to being tortured and received death threat was forced to leave the home. I also due to fear of torture and oppression now leaving the party is involved with a voluntary organization.

2. I can remember that on 10/01/2012 AD organized a procession against present autocrat Awami League’s jail-oppression and corruption led Mr. Omar Faruque. Suddenly around 15/20 Chatra League cadres with sticks attacked on us. 100-150 Chatra Dal workers who participated in procession became disarray. Cadres beat severely several including Faruque.
