In Therbadi countries like Srilankha, Myanmar,
Theiland etc. On the other hand the religion is Practices in Sanskrit in Tibet,
Mongolia, China, Japan,
Korea
and Vietnam etc. But Present where pali section, Buddhist studies siction and
institute are in existence in those countries pali books and Sanskrit
literature are more less studied. At the Therbadi country pali language and at
Mahajahi Buddhist countries Sanskrit language get importance.
The prove the Chinese travelers kept
for Buddhist education system has attract the attention of the eschrchn. They
have given a detail desviplian of the
education system of this sub-continent. They mentioned specially Balvi and Nalandh Universities of 6th and 7th Century. The first was the
principal educational center of Therbadi (Hingani) and latest was the biggest
educational institution of Mahajahi. At Nalanda one thousand teacher and ten
thousand students live together. From the description of Itsing it is known
that there were three thousand Bhikkhu at Nalanda Biher they used to observed
modesty rule strictly. Act of studies and teaching was reputed thrcrglant the world. Shilbhadrh,
Shanth Rakshit and Atish Dipankhr was vice-chancellor of this University
respectively. World famous Pundit Atish Dipankar was Vice-chancellor of this
University from 1034 to 1038. He went to Tibet by the invitation of the
king. The made education was Sanskrit, Pali and prevailing cellule language. In
addition to Buddhist religious book Sanskrit, Economics, Social science,
Political science, Astronomy etc. were taught. The Sanskrit grammar was one of
the important surliest of study. The Indian education was giver importance .

The Buddhist Pundit were competent in both Dibnagari and kha Rosti language.The

Siddham . The Buddhist wrote another book suitable for children namely
Sarbbagye(Salute to Sarbbgye Buddha) . The lesson of this book was for six
months. After Compliments of primary education at the age of eight “Pancha
biddya” lesson could be started . The Pancha biddya is like below:

Sabdya Biddya :
Grammar and Phonetics. The Sabdya Biddya is written by Buddhist Pundits which
was termed as grammar by other Pundits.
2.
Shilpathan Biddya : Shilpathan Biddya and Karu
Shilph. As per Uenmns although this biddya was called as Industry and art and
unftal the Chinese translation of Julian it is called as industrial science of
yarn.
3.
Treatment education : Relief of disease.
Surgery, Formula for making of medicine, Prescription, astrology, and charms
and incanthtiums was included in it .
4.
Hetu Biddya :
Logic. Uensung mentioned it as logic.
But Jinmin has laclis or Indian ansumentive logic.
5.
Spiritual science: Philosophy and mete-Physics. This
fifth branch was called as the realm of the mind. In the book of waters it is
said as Physiology of Buddhism. He wrote more that the children of Buddhist
parents took learner of the personal affairs first like others. Later an studied religious and later on they used to
ruled religious scripting and received
highist degree. This why in Panchhjan( ideal man, decline`Bhikkhu, Bodhisalya
and Buddha) they progressed . It is known this why that Kumarjib and Gunbhadra
acquired Panchabidya, Astrology, Mathematics, Magic power at this youth. Some
Pundits think the teaching of Tripitak was continued sepererely or realm of the
mindwas prevailed . That syllabus was taught at the schools and college under Nalandha University. Afterwards for attaining
higher classes the students used to got admission at the Nalandha University.
Chandra, Kharag and contemporary kings of Bengal
were Buddhist . At their patronizes and financial support Buddhism spread in
the ninth to Tibet, Mongolia, China and in the south to Malhy
islands. The Jagaddal (Rajshahi) Buddhist
University was
established at the support of kung Dharmapal (1084-1113). Luinp hundred fifty years activities many famous
Pundits studied here. Undanthpuri
University had ten
thousand Bhikkhu Sraman lived together
residentially. During Mahipal and Jaypal Bikrumshilh and Somepure Bihar become
famous. Besides, Halud Bihar, Shalban Bihar, Tripura Bihar, Pundit Bihar were
the height of lernisp for Buddhist education and culture. At the end of Pal dynasty
after Nalandha, the Pundit Bihar of Chittagong was very popular. Students used
to come for study in this University from China,
Tibet, Malay Islands.
At the time of Mahipal the principal of the Bihar
was Acharja Pragya Bhadra (Tilopa or Tilpad).
During Pal dynasty “Aushth Sasrikh” Mohajani religious book was
considered very saved as in imne of gems. Pal and centempurwy kings were influenced by Mohajan and
Kalchakrhjan . In 10th-12th century A.D chardhpal and
Dohakush were lighted in the feeling of social and religious in deep meditation
. In the modern world Bengali is a reach language, recognized as international
language . At this travels at the ruysed
road for Bengali language those whose
achievement are memorable they are named as “Chowrashi Sidha” Buddhist Tantrik
Sidhacharja. They were formulated Bengali language and literature composing
Doha Gitika and Sadhan bhumi books. At though most of the books were lost at
the time of Santi Deb, Atish Dipankar, Kamal shil, Ghaynsree-Mitra, Abhaycar
Gupta, Shanth Rakhit, Nagbadhi, Jetari, Pragyabarmh etc. Buddhist acharya but
thier livelihood, idealism, work performance as ewrir of education is spread
for development of modern education. The system of Buddhist education is the
manifestation of modern education.
Lord Buddha has a great influence not only on Srilankans but his true spirituality has been known throughout the world.
