SPS is private NGO working is Shaiatpur District in Bangladesh since the 1998. It has been registered with social
service Department, Govt. I peoples' republic of Bangladesh. SPS is committed to work the
program and establishment of women &
children rights in Bangladesh.
A
group of Social NGO and political workers have from this NGO and are highly
committed to run the origination for the development of poor woman and childen
the District Seine the origination in a and it has no own founds if requiring
found support for its programmers from foreign donors. Therefore we would like
to submit the fowling project proposal including a budget for 5 (Five) years to
the DOM Ministry of human rights.
(2) Description.
In some countries it is estimated that one in four
or five women is a victim of domestic and sexual violence, but only 20% of
cases are denounced. There are very few government bodies or institutions which
deal with this problem. The DOM ministry Human Rights will be working on the
issue and has now decided to set up a training
programmed for 50 monitors, 15 in
each of the regions of underdeveloped and less developed regions. The future
monitors will carefully be selected and will receive training from experts on
the general concepts of family violence, the characteristics and dynamics of a
violent relationship, how to hold workshops on the issue, how to carry out
preventive measures, how to communicate effectively with victims of violence
and women's legal rights. Once trained the monitors will assist an estimated
1000 women who will be referred to the project division of the ministry of
Human Rights from the Justice Tribunal, or who will come to the DOM Ministry of
Human rights due its reputation for working on this issue.
(3) Project Proposal
Despite unequivocal guarantees of the rights to
life to liberty and security and to optimality and nondiscrimination in both
international and domestic law, women's Tights in Bangladesh continue to be violated.
Women suffer violence and abuse in the form of rape, sexual assault,
trafficking, trafficking, sexual slavery dowry deaths, reproductive and
domestic violence. The rise of religious extremism have brutally impacted on
the lives of women. Religion has been used to usppress women's voices and to
deny women control their own lives
We
think "Women's right" must be protected in both the public and the
private sphere. Violations of women's rights in the home and the family are
generally perceived as beyond redress and beyond relief, with law-enforcing
agencies refusing to recognize or prosecute such crimes.
Family
laws and other laws relating to women need be amended to surge with the
problems for women's rights within the family as well as their work places.

07. Project location : the project will cover almost all areas of Bangladesh through one Liason office in the
capital city and other Divisional Headquarter offices may by situated in Dhaka. Chittagong,
Rajshahi and Kahulna Barisal Sylet subject to expansion of the project. Besides
that there will be necessary number of branch officeh mostly in upzailla
headquaters.
08. Project beneficiaries : The women particularly who are
illiterate and devoid of the knowledge of the legal rights living in
most-underprivileged condition with poor economic background will he benefited
out of this people.
09. General
goal of the project : A public amongst awareness acmpaign based upon the week
without violence, specifically aimed at young people.
To create awareness about the legal rights amongst the
women who suffer violence and also to aware people about the legal punishment
and in necessary cases to take the
sufferers shelter of law.
To organize women confederation, upazilla level to
provide the primary groups or members with mediatory services in their need and
to play strong role as spokesman of women group or members.
the maximum women are to depend on their husbands or
male head of each family which compelled them to be remain silent and bear all
the torturing made by the male. The root cause behind is the illiteracy and
want of awareness and traditional religious blindness.
This project will create scope for the
women to be aware about the root causes of all their backwardness.
The underprivileged women group will com under
continuous feed back and follow up services of the efficient staff of the of
SPS. These staff will be given enough training to deal with the activities to
bring about change in the locality.
10. Organization
Background : the project operational
areas will be in the first phase be the Dhaka Division of the Country and in
the second phase it may be extended to other Division.

The
project will be implemented by a group of SPS staff members headed by the
Executive Director of the organization. The Executive Director will remain
accountable to both Executive committee
of SPS and donor concerned for all the task accomplished. the plan and budget
will he approved by the general Board of SPS prior to state the activities of
the project which will he evacuated and
followed-up in Execution an account will be opened in a Commercial Bank in
Dhaka which will be operated jointly executive committee representative and the
executive Director.
In
every districts there will remain one or more Legal Assistant to help the women
in getting justice against violence which will help in decreasing the number of cases of
violence. A Legal Aid Coordinator will be there to coordinate the legal
activities and formulate the policy of taking legal action and to move the Higher Judiciary in
appropriate cases. The Legal Aid Co-ordinate will suggest the suggest the Government for
necessary amendment in Family laws, criminal and civil laws.
The
activities will be administered through
Branches of SPS to be set up in each Upazilla with one Branch Officer under
whom field Organisers and Field workers will be posted in unions who will
remain responsible directly for implementation of all the task as assigned.
The
Branch Officer will supervise their activities regularly and he/she will help
the field worker through feed beck –up services.
The
Branch Officers will coordinate training and symposia and seminar in branches.
Besdes that symposia, seminar and workshop will be held on national basis with
participation of eminent persons of the country. For specific skill training
resource persons from the concerned departments of both government and
neighboring organization will be hired. The field workers, coordinators and the
executive Director will provide the follow-up and feed back services of the
training, regularly.

Above
all there will be provision of annual evaluation by a team comprised of the
members from other government/non-government organization or as desired by the
donor concerned.
The
accounts of the project will he audited annually by NGO affiliated and
registered chattered Accountants firm. The SPS will publish annual report on
the activities, which will be shared with donors, government concerned
department and patrons.
